During the season there are a number of club competitions that take place.
These offer the bowler a chance to pit there wits against members from their own
club.
Mens Competitions
Mens Championship - Hamilton Cup
The mens championship is an open 4 woods competition. The winner is the
first player to reach the total of 21 shots. Winner gets entry into National and County Champion of Champions competition.
Mens Two Wood - Frank Bishop Cup
The mens two wood is open to all members of the club. The winner is the
first player to win 3 sets. Each set will be decided on the first player to
obtain 7 shots. If the game is tied at 2 sets each the two players will have to
toss a coin to see who positions the jack on the first end.
Mens Senior Citizens - Whatley Cup
The mens senior citizens competition is only open to players over statutory
retiring age by 31st March of current year. It is a 4 wood competition and the
winner will be the first player to reach the total of 21 shots
Mens Pairs Cup
The mens pairs competition is open to all members. When all applications are
recieved the competition secretary arranges a draw to determine who will be
paired with who. The mens pairs is a 4 wood competition that lasts for 21 ends.
The winner being the pair with the most shots after that time. If the scores are
tied then an extra end is to be played.
Ladies Competitions
Ladies Championship - Anderson Cup
The ladies championship is an open 4 woods competition. The winner is the
first player to reach the total of 21 shots. Winner gets entry into National and County Champion of Champions competitions.
Ladies Two Wood - Gateway Rose Bowl
The ladies two wood is open to all members of the club. It is a 2 wood competition and the winner will be the player with the most shots after 21ends. If the scores are tied then an extra end is to be played.
Ladies Pairs - Garrett Cup
The ladies pairs competition is open to all members. When all applications
are recieved the competition secretary arranges a draw to determine who will be
paired with who. The ladies pairs is a 4 wood competition that lasts for 21
ends. The winner being the pair with the most shots after this time. If the
scores are tied then an extra end is to be played.
Mixed Competitions
Mixed Non-Winners - Moores Cup
The mixed non-winners competition is only open to players who have not won a singles title open to all members at the club. It is a 4 wood competition and the winner will be the first player to reach the total of 21 shots.
Mixed 100 Up - Eades Cup
The mixed 100 up is an open 4 wood competition. The winner is the player who is the first to reach 100 points. Scoring is calculated by the following; 4pts for shot, 3pts for second wood, 2pts for third wood and 1pt for fourth wood. If the scores are tied then extra ends will be played until there is a winner.
Mixed Pairs
The mixed pairs is a 4 wood competition open to all members. The winners are
the pair with the most shots after 21 ends. If scores are ties an extra end is
to be played.
Mixed Triples
The mixed triples is a 3 wood competition open to all members. The winners
are the triple with the most shots after 18 ends. If scores are tied an extra
end is to be played.
